Wednesday, 25th April, Maria Teresa Salvati, with Mariona Otero, Tina Remiz and Kitty Walker, produced the IV edition of Slideluck Potshow London, which took place at the two-floors trendy gallery in the heart of Shoreditch, 81 Leonard Street. Many people were involved from all around the world. From the London-based curators, Fiona Rogers, who selected the female submissions and Harry Hardie selecting the male entries, on the theme of 'Gender and/or Identity'; to Erica McDonald (NY) which will make a further selection for DEVELOP Tube, and GUP Magazine (Amsterdam), which will feature some of the selected stories on their online magazine with interviews and portfolios. Blurb supported the show by offering vouchers to all who submitted their work and by awarding the best story with a generous gift card. The best story has been awarded to Pierfrancesco Celada. The potluck was outstanding too, offering a selection of cuisines from all around the world! Food editor Regan Maloney awarded the best dish and a runner-up with a hamper and a feature in her blog. The winners are: homemade rhubarb with black pudding tart and Vietnamese spring rolls. The food looked amazing in the palm leaf plates and eco-friendly tableware kindly supplied by Little Cherry; and Olea House premium extra-virgin olive oil helped to enhance the taste of some dishes. The wonderful Brooklyn Brewery beers worked as glue for food, smiles, mingles and a push into the spirit of Slideluck Potshow! It was a great success.
