On Saturday, March 24, 2007, somewhere around a thousand people gathered at Sandbox Studios, in Manhattan for Slideluck Potshow IX. The mood in beautiful, eleventh floor Soho studio, was charged with energy and anticipation. The theme of the slideshow was Family, and the evening's program was kicked off by a live performance by the Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players. There were fantastic slideshows projected in two large studios, as well as a large potluck and a couple of bars. The after party went late into the night at GalleryBar in the Lower East Side. Jennifer Bleyer and Michael Nagle, from The New York Times, were in attendance and a nice story ran in the Arts section a few days later. Most agree that it was was a hell of an evening and we have Sandbox Studio and numerous volunteers to thank for their generosity and contribution. |
