SLIDELUCK POTSHOW II was held on November 13, 2004 at Budman Studio in Soho. Jim Budman graciously allowed about 200 people to gather in his gorgeous and
eclectic art space. The sumptuous potluck was set up among his
collection of modern and avante guarde furniture and abstract
paintings. Arriving guests were immediately swept up in the buzz of
creativity and the jovial cocktail banter. The slideshow was held in
the big white box in the next room over. People filled up the studio
and watched from the balcony with an magical view of downtown over
their shoulders. Local actor, Eleanor O'Brien, was the master of
ceremonies, and the slideshow was roughly half analog and half digital.
Though the slideshow was plagued by technical difficulties, the energy
of the evening was such that very few seemed to notice.
